Sunk Cost Fallacy Research Project
During an English class, I conducted a ten-week research project exploring the “sunk cost fallacy,” or the psychological tendency to overweight past investments of time, effort or money in current decisions.
After exploring dozens of academic papers and interviewing psychology faculty to deepen my understanding of the topic, I surveyed over 180 students to test my hypotheses about the way the sunk cost fallacy affects student decision-making.
