Preflight Challenges
Preflight Challenges was a winning idea in the 2014 OpenIDEO Youth Unemployment Challenge. Over the course of six months, I developed the Preflight idea to bring professionals into high school classrooms to host real-world challenges. The idea received some of the highest engagement of any idea ever on the platform, and I met incredible professionals who connected me to resources and supported my journey.
As an award for winning the challenge, I got to attend the Clinton Global Initiative annual conference, where I was recognized on stage by journalist Nicholas Kristof. The conference inspired me to connect business with social impact, and motivated my journey into social entrepreneurship.
